Once upon a time, adults said gugus to kids to kinda like say "Hey, I'm here!", mostly with closed eyes for fun.

Originally, gugus origin was from a video, where a guy says that all the health issues skandals and warnings with cucumbers(Gurken) in switzerland is gugus, meaning that it was all a fraud for publicity and corrupt media. "Ish nur ums money gegangen"("it was all about money.") he said.

But here especially in Zurich, Switzerland, you can use it for all kind of stuff for example:

-corrupt
-fake news
-lie

You get the point... If not, "ish gugus gsi"
