Fob stands for Fresh Off the Boat and is a slang term that is used to refer to a south pacific islanders such as the Polynesians, Micronesians and Melanesians. (It is not offensive)

Abbreviation for "fresh off the boat." It refers to people who are new to a country. The phrase however, can be offensive depending on the circumstance; Esp. to those trying to assimilate. This phrase (in my opinion) is suitable only for those who choose NOT to incorporate the new culture into their own & feel no shame in looking goofy or weird in public. For example, that super horny and creepy dude you see on the street staring at every single female he sees.
