It’s the phrase you use so other people know that the new husband and the ex-husband have a great relationship. I’m not sure if grades the white word but it’s not too bad.

So I talked to my husband-in-law yesterday and yes, he is sure that he can fix your dishwasher.

Various types of mindless shaming and outrage may be considered, and the law is applicable to situation where the cause of the outrage turns out to have been false after but where the negative effect is not reversed.
