Usually incorporates dark atmospheric elements, metallic bass sounds and four on the floor drum patterns. Is also popularly referred to as 'riddim,' however a large movement campaigning for the use of the word 'trench' was recently spearheaded by German artist INFEKT, with other notable artists in the scene showing support as well.
