nu-metal

A modern version of metal music, this genre includes bands such as KoRn, Slipknot, System of a Down, Limp Bizkit, Tool, iLL NiNo, Disturbed, Godsmack, Staind and a lot of others that are just too shitty to even mention. Like any genre of music, nu-metal has its good and bad (except for emo, it's all bad). However, nu-metal is almost always violently attacked by Metal Snobs who think 80's metal is the be-all-end-all of music.

While I am a huge fan of Metallica, Megadeth, and Black Sabbath, I believe that there are some really good nu-metal bands, and the people who constantly rip on nu-metal are fuckups, losers who listen to punk/emo/indie rock and stoners in their mid forties. Get it through your heads, death metal and black metal fucking suck. Go rape some school girls or pretend you're "dark" and "evil" because you like listening to some Scandinavian fag scream about the devil. Death/black metal fans love to say nu-metal gives metal a bad name, but it's really the death-head morons that rave about murder, human sacrifice, killing babies and Satan who are responsible for that.

The truth is, in many cases, many young people who start out listening to nu-metal are later introduced to old school metal; a lot of metal fans enjoy both because they appreciate variation. You want to bash nu-metal? Target losers like Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit.
Good nu-metal: KoRn, SOAD, Disturbed, iLL NiNo, Atreyu, FLAW

Bad nu-metal: Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Staind, Puddle of Mudd... those not mentioned are just average or mediocre.

Nu metal

The new wave of musicians who grew up listening to 70's and 80's metal. The new metal bands have thir roots in old metal but use other techniques to produce a new sound. for example many nu metal bands use sampling, rap-like lyrics, low pitch, the list goes on and its diffrent for each nu metal band.

Nu metal had sucess in the late 90's (even thought it existed as early as 1991) but now people have turned on nu metal and it has fallen out of favor.

Many fans of the old metal cant accept the evolution of their genre. People also dont like nu metal because it was used as just another fad and once a fad is over everyone hates it.

But nu metal lives on. Thier are only th loyalest fans left and we wont stop listening to what we like to listen to because you dont like it.
their are many nu metal bands but the best and most popular are: Korn, slipknot,Limp Bizkit, P.O.D., System of a Down, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Powerman 5000, Rage Aginst the Machine, and Godsmack. (yes Godsmack they aren't old metal). Their are many more.

2-NU

2-NU or 2D x Noodle is the most prominently used ship(Shipping means to have a fantasy of people being attracted to each other.)in the Gorillaz fanbase.

2-NU involves the singer of the virtual band. Stuart "2D" Pot. And guitarist of the band. Noodle. Shipped together usually in a sexual relationship.

Unlike ships such as NU-DOC where Noodle is raped BY Murdoc. 2-NU ships are with consent from both members but ending with 2D regretting his actions.

In the 2-NU ships the setting is usually set in Phase 2 but also in later phases, mostly Phase 4. Noodle is the one band member who shows the most change throughout these phases.

Phase 1: Noodle=10YRS
Phase 2:Noodle=13-14YRS
Phase 3:Noodle=21-23YRS
Phase 4:Noodle=27-29Yrs

All the other band members(2D, Russel and Murdoc)show no real change since they are all adults in all phases, in fact remaining mostly the same.

Back to 2NU...

As I was saying. The most used phase to ship the two together is Phase 2. Many fans see this very wrong, mostly due to the age difference and the fact she says "2D is like a bigger brother to me." Leaving many to believe the incest is true with this ship.

If you go on sites like Fanfiction.net or wattpad you can easily find a 2NU fanfiction usually set in Phase 2. And this shows with the popular story "One in the chamber" By Deiter Ginsburg.

And it isn't only the story's that are easy to find. Much of the art(also set in Phase 2. And sexual.)can be found by a quick Google search or on Rule 34.
Hey, my 2-NU story got 13 likes.

What phase is it set in?

Is it sexual?

Of course it is.

Nu-normie

A person with interests that were classically considered 'weird' or 'niche' by most people in the past decades but are becoming increasingly mainstream, such as games, anime, manga, board games, comics and cosplay.

A nu-normie exhibits most of the personality traits of a regular normie, such as conformism / herd mentality, blandness of character, mediocrity, etc. The main difference that justifies the usage of the term as opposed to that of a regular normie is the outlet they use to express themselves. Instead of conforming to classical stereotypes they attempt to conform to the ever-expanding otaku / gamer culture by using their 'interests' and 'hobbies' as a staple of feigned originality and as a means to appeal to the otaku / gamer demographic, with the end goal of becoming more popular and establishing social connections. The process isn't always conscious.

The games / anime / comics etc. they enjoy are based off of common trends and not off their personal subjective enjoyment of the specified media. The typical behavior of a nu-normie includes sharing posts connected to popular memes on social media, listening to hipster genres like vaporwave, praising Filthy Frank / Joji as 'the God of the Internet', playing MOBAs and spending hundreds of dollars on merchandise at conventions. They also exhibit at least average social skills, something in clear defiance of the classical 'nerd' stereotype that used to be associated with the aforementioned otaku culture until recently.
A: Gee, look at Sarah! She's been getting so much attention from all these weebs at the conventions she goes to, all because of her obscene cosplays! Wish I were as good as her at cosplay T_T
B: You're such a nu-normie sometimes...

John has been trying to pick up girls at comic-con for the last 5 years, to no avail. He's trying to impress them with his cool Rorschach merch. He's such a nu-normie.

Oh, dang! A Halloween party? Can't wait to have a drunken orgy while wearing my favorite Avatar: The Last Airbender cosplay. Being a nu-normie has its upsides!

deja nu?

When you search your memory but no how hard you try simply cannot remember what TV you watched the night before. Often a feature of pandemic mind, leaving sufferers with a sick feeling that their lives are wasting away in an endless succession of Netflix/Prime/Hulu/HBO Max binges.
I know I was up late cranking on some series last night, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was.
Bruh you got a bad case of deja nu?

What'd we watch last night, bae?
Deja nu much?
