Paper Angel

A con artist. A person that looks for people down on their luck, offers them help, and then seeks to control them. Much like a paper tiger appears scary at first but is merely an illusion of ferocity, a paper angel appears helpful at first, but is actually an illusion of assistance. A paper angel will lie and abuse it's victim to coerce control over them.

That nigerian prince email looks like a good opportunity, but be careful it's not just a paper angel.

Papillon

Papillon- (French for Black Butterfly) symbolizes freedom or a free man/woman. The Papillon represents breaking free from all societal mores and restrictions. There are no chains on the papillon, as they go where ever they want and do whatever they choose. A divorce or break up makes a person a papillon since one is no longer answerable to his/her former companion. Freeing oneself from a contract or debt makes a person a papillon because one is no longer bound to it. In Wang Jaier's (Jackson Wang's) "Papillon", he describes himself as a papillon who is on his own and having the freedom to chart his own destiny with or without suppport. In Denise Williams' song Black Butterfly, she tells describes the freedom the Black Butterfly feels as she spreads her wings and flies over bondage and/or oppression. The Papillon is the butterfly and symbol of universal freedom.

Pappy van Poodle is a character from a free to play 3DS game called Rusty’s Real Deal Baseball released in western territories in 2014. Until early 2019, almost everyone, especially in the West, had no idea of the character’s existence. This is most likely because, to even see him, you have to purchase an in-game mini-game from Rusty (the shop owner) without using the haggling option to reduce the price of said mini-game. However, when YouTuber Nick Robinson uploaded a video titled “ The Nintendo character with zero Google results”, interest of Pappy van Poodle skyrocketed and within 5 months he went from 0 to 15,100 Google search results, was featured in a video with over 3 million views as of October 22nd 2019 and even got a petition on change.org to get him into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
