When messaging someone, specifically snapchat but also applying to other social media platforms such as Instagram, this is the act of replying to their message, then deleting your reply and not replying anything else, leaving them with nothing other than a notification saying that a message has been deleted. A similar effect to leaving someone on read, but to a stronger extent.

What I want is- You know how in Facebook you have the profile picture and then that other picture behind it? I want to be able to take that other picture... From other people's page... Recover deleted data. If you can recover a photo you can recover whatever you need to recover to justify credit and payment but I didn't make you steal from me.
