A boyfriend who is just there to satisfy the need for having a boyfriend.

i.e. someone who is fulfilling short-term needs in your life, but for whom you don't see a long-term purpose.

I don't get fazed when I'm into a girl who has a boyfriend. I always just assume that he's a placeholder boyfriend, and that she'll dump him once she finds someone real.

A good boy friend would show you that he cares. And will complement you and make you blush. Also when you two are texting he will send you cute messages that give you butterflies. And when you're feeling down he will do his best to make everything right. And will tease you in a fun way. And will joke around with you. And come up with a cute bot slightly anoing nickname. Your boyfriend will do all of this if he is doing it right.

The chair by the changing rooms where the boy will sit, waiting for their girlfriend to come out with many tried on clothes.
It's one of the most boring things you will ever go through
