In most cases, used when describing certain content, such as most Videos on TikTok and YouTube videos made by channels that have Kids as their target audience, which are made only to support attention and shortening children's attention span.
"Brainrot", as a word, became popular in fall 2023 to present day, with introduction of Skibidi Toilet.
