Ternura utilizó la puchaina negra para sus rituales en los que absorbía la juventud de los niños a través de sus cantos. Se cree que aún es la portadora de la puchaina negra, y aún ay más portadoras. Se cree que en la churrería de ternura, algunos churros devuelven a la puchaina negra a la portadora de la oscuridad de bella dueñas. Se han reportado casos de que los infectados de la puchaina negra solo saben repetir.
