Political correctness

Mealy-mouthed attempt at getting people to avoid superficial expressions of bigotry, which ends up debasing the language without dealing with the stupidity underlying most hates and fears. Merely ends up giving the bigots one more thing to snarl at and, yes, it really can impose a tyranny of its own. Many examples of allegedly common politically correct speech are urban myths ... which we could still have done without.
Some (real and imaginary) examples of political correctness:

You're not black (in the USA), you're African-American.
(As Whoopi Goldberg once commented, and I may be paraphrasing, "My ancestors didn't come through generations of the slave trade and the Civil Rights movement to end up hyphenated.")

You're not crippled, you're differently abled.

You're not a member of the Undead, you are biometrically challenged.

You're not an android, you are an artificial person.

Political Correctness

Intellectual colonialism and psychological fascism for the creation of thought crime.
Thanks to Political Correctness it's now 'wrong' for me to think certain thoughts, and that isn't right.

political celebrity

1) n. A person who was a celebrity and then got involved in politics. Is observed by the public and media mainly for being a celebrity rather than a politician.

2) n. A politician who became famous for a position or action and is now only a celebrity because of the former position or action, no matter how menial their current position is or even though they're retired from politics.
1) Arnold Schwarzenegger is a political celebrity.

2) Colin Powell is a political celebrity.

Political Boss

A boss who gives you promises about benefits, good pay, etc but once you're already under him / her, all these promises instantly turns into myth.

A boss who can evaluate you and the results are always negative.

A boss who talks more about "self-glorification" and always has the greatest story among his / her subordinates.

A great false hope provider.

A pathological liar.
Peter: My political boss gave me another 10,000 promises...
Mark: Lol! One of those is the "team leader" position right? That was centuries ago!

Luke: Hey John, Pat told me he'll give me a lot of projects this month!
John: Pat? Stop dreaming Luke. He's a political boss.

Political Greeting

When you bump into a friend of a friend, or an ex, or your mates girlfriend your not that keen on and you have to say hello and pretend to have a brief conversation with them otherwise you look bad.
Bob: I bumped into Lucy the other day, she's so annoying but she's going out with my house mate at the moment so I just gave her the old political greeting and moved on.

Political Androgyny

the feeling one gets when a citizen of a nation can not tell any real or significant difference between various political parties and their candidates; that they must by necessity choose from each election. each of the parties may wear different make up and masks and clothes but for all intents and purposes it is the same actor. every year the same old thing but coming from "the other side" and nothing ever changing.
the feeling you get from "Political Androgyny" is like the feeling a "john" gets while trying to pick the female hookers from the drag-queen hookers while driving down a poorly lit back ally. you know that either way you are going to get fucked. but it is hard to tell if it is going to be one of those stories you tell your friends at the bar or one of those stories your friends find out and tell everyone about you.
-or like looking on craigslist for a quick bit of tail. what an add says is never quite what you get but you can pretty well bet you will end up with crabs.
-for example the term, "Obamnay" has been coined.... who supports what? hell even they don't know most of the time... who sent in the last biggest campaign contribution....

Political gloating

When you keep posting pictures or commenting about the winning candidate who you happened to vote for in an election. The reverse of political whining.
He keeps posting about his candidate winning. So tired of the political gloating. They won, it's done, get on w/ life.
