A day off from work where you do nothing unless you absolutely have to.

Guy 1: Hey are you gonna get up or what?
Guy 2:(wakes up) I'm so tired and cozy, I'm just gonna stay in and rest... unless I gotta use the bathroom anyway.
*Proceeds to spend entire morning in bed wide awake*
Guy 1: oh, you're gonna take a potato day? Cool.

So, hide the potato (HTP) is a popular game in Florida (especially South Florida) where you get as big a potato possible and shove it up your butt. Some brave souls even try two!

Today, on my agenda, was a trip to Publix, in order to find the best, the biggest, and juiciest potato in order to shove up my rear for absolute pure ecstasy. Ahhhh! Oooh! Soooo fulfilling! Yep, I’m going straight to Hell. It happens. I’ve just got to hide the potato.

When someone wakes you up by shoving a potato up your ass, removes it, and makes mashed potatoes with it.

Logan woke up to a potato alarm clock on the day of thanksgiving. Those mashed potatoes were the best I ever had!
