When the spoken and unspoken social norms governing subcultural groups are so rigid that members are or may as well be a religious or political cult.
Man, while I appreciate the no animal testing labeling and good eats, when I hang out with my veg/vegan friends I sometimes feel like I'm a member of a sub-cult and can't take it! Too much like being w/ Mormons again.
