Dirt Monkey

Archaeologists who do large amounts of field work or do field work for other people's research. Mostly these are archaeologists who have yet to recieve their degrees or who don't have footing enough in the field to lead their own projects or obtain steady work.
They are so named for the dirty state in which they return at the end of the day.

This is in contrast to academic members of the field and is closely related to the term 'shovelbum' in that all shovelbums are dirt monkeys, but not all dirt monkeys are shovelbums. Dirt monkeys also include field school students, research assistants, and laborers. They are not a glamourous bunch who stand at odds with the archeostitute.

The field school students and the shovelbums got along well, dispite their differences. After all, they were all dirt monkeys.

dirt rocker

negative word used to describe anyone who has an extremely messy and dirty appearance(I'm not talking about punks or goths) including but not limited to; faded and torn black shirts, jackets and pants, shoes that they have written all over, backpacks, duffel bags etc. that are equally dirty in appearance with every symbol that has anything to do with rebellion against anything, even if the dirt rocker isn't a real believer of what the symbol represents. symbols include the anarchy symbol, upside-down crosses, 666, pentagrams, and also various phrases of general hatred of broad areas such as "fuck the world" or "in love with death" "fuck conformists" you know the kind of shit I'm talking about. they are not necessarily out of shape but many are pale, fat, and hairy. they may also be wearing shirts featuring bands, but not all the time.

Someone who mooches off of everyone and in general has no consideration for anyone but themselves. A rude, deceiving, and selfish person.

Going out to dinner with a group of people and "dirt magert" orders a large meal. When the bill comes "dirt magert" suddenly realizes they left their wallet at home
