an expression used to desicribe something when it's conditions are less than perfect. Also, a misperception of the quality or apperance of a thing.
When the appetizers arrived, Pat said "What's that trash," in regards to the products placed in front of the other four guys.

Verb. - To answer a question with "What?" not because you misheard, but because you need a moment to process the information or think of an answer while the person repeats themselves. May be done multiple times in succession. Often a knee-jerk reaction.
