Wanna hop on rust?

To classify someone as a racial/ethnic slur. Hopping on rust, at least now adays, is very dangerous, for example many BLM protesters hopped on rust after the George Floyd incident. A more historical example of hopping on rust is white supremacist governor, George Wallace's segregation speech.

hipster wannabe

Someone who identifies as a hipster.

Calling oneself a hipster completely goes against the purpose of being one. A wannabe hipster also probably does not know anything about the indie kid movement during the 2000s, which is what the 30+ year old hipsters of the 2010s became.

Also, a hipster wannabe follows out-dated hipster trends such as listening to Arctic Monkeys, Fleet Foxes, Kaspian, Halsey, Marina and the Diamonds and The Blockheads, riding a fixie, shopping at American Apparel and Urban Outfitters. As such things have become part of the mainstream now. Hipster "clothing" is mainstream and trendy now. You are not a hipster.

Being a hipster would be being scene because it's unpopular and dead.

What is a new wave wannabe you ask ?
Scene Kids, Scenesters, or anybody that is falsely labeled an emo, they aren't emo, they are a Scenester, or scene kid aka
New Wave Wannabe.

Remember the look was first done in the 70's as New Wave evolved out of Punk & Glam Rock, then combined itself with the new romantic fashion that is now trying to make a comeback with a new generation. Only difference is New Wave was done right and gave credit to Punk. NewWave is and was not scuz or trash.
New Wave Wannabe equals Scene kids.

The phrase basically means the police are racist and commit police brulutality.
