scene

The scene is the local music in the area, or the shows. For example if someone were to say : "DFjmsdof, the scene is DYING" what they mean is "There are never any good shows anymore.

The typical scene kid thrives on shows and dinosaurs. The girls and boys have choppy black hair with blonde streaks, or blonde hair with black streaks. The boys are hot. The girls are always 5'1 or below, ranging from skinny to chubby, and love to wear spandex, bows and headbands.

People who are not in the "scene" tend to think that scene kids are conceited and close-minded, but that is just a sterotype.

Stop being so hard on the scene. You all are biased and probably have never talked to one of these people in your life. If you had, you'd have realized that they are human like anyone else, and don't all fit under one catergorie.

Unique to its own location (ie: NYC, LA, DC, London, Berlin) a scene is something people are involved in, that (in a majority) involves a common interest like music.

Being involved includes going to shows and organizing events.

I think the definition for scene as "A sphere of activity" quite accuarately reflects the scenes.

Some scenes: LA's Deathrock scene, London's infamous Blitz Kids scene.

You call yourself punk but you don't support the scene!

a subculture of people that are annoying as hell. All they do is cry about everything and complain to people they think are their friends about how everyone hates them.

loves neon colours, candy sorta like a gaint little hotter version of 5 years old i guess.

scene kids look like emo kids but are a little more happier w/their lives then emos.

has tons of scene/emo friends (if yeww dont your a loner)

wears converse or vans. studded blets. cuffs A.K.A- sweatbands. skinnies. BRIGHT COLORED CLOTHES ARE A MUST.

scene kid one- "i heart blood on the danceflor, the meric droid, brokencyde, and the cavalry kids."
scene kid two- "they are the sex. i know like totally stellar. i luff to mosh to the meric droids song fer sure."

most scene kids are basically kids that have turned from the emo path to that of the hardcore music scene. they go from listining to fake emo bands like taking back sunday, to truly hardcore bands like bane, death before dishonor, and really any other hXc band that are from boston, or local that they think is cool. they originally started being truly different from the hardcore scene until more ppl started joining their little wanna-be hardcore scene, until it enveloped part or all of a local scene. they started being non-conformists till everyone in their scene and the scenes across the country started to look the same. everything is tight, although b/f they came it mostly was. most shirts are very emo-esque, with a mix of h.s. and middle school/thrift shop/fake vintage shirts.they wear make-up, gender matters not. they take millions of pics at crazy angles. they cut their own hair in a choppy shag fashion and dye it crazily, and take care of it for hours. it is very easy to tell a scene kid from someone who is truly hardcore; it is very sad the state the current scene is in.

(gender=either)wears tight girl jeans, tight rolling stones vintage t-shirt, crazy style and color hair that took hours to do, cig in mouth, says stuff like "yo nig", and most of the pictures related with the definition.(esp. the blonde scene dude w/blue eyeliner)
