Stuck in the Mud

The inability to complete a task due to a lack of understanding, competence, or will.

Josh is stuck in the mud and has been unable to complete the engineering changes piled up on his desk due to a lack of will.

Doug seems incompetent in creating purchase orders and appears to be stuck on the mud.

Tim has a lack of understanding of the need for gages and due to that is stuck in the mud.

Either way you are in a mess and big trouble. You just aren't doing to well.

When my wife walked out because I wouldn't help her becuase I thought what she was doing was wrong. She gave me the choice to change my mind and follow her, if I really loved her, or sit at home and never see her again. I was really stuck between a rock and a hard place.

stuck up

1.Person who thinks they're better than everyone else, except within their clique of friends. Most often a stuck up person is also really fake, they are also extremely conceited.

1. You drop your papers on the floor. A nice person will help you to pick them up or at least ask if you need any help. A stuck up person will just walk past you. They might glance to see what happened.
2. A stuck up person won't acknowledge your presence, even if they know you. Unless for some unfortunate reason you happen to be good friends with one.

Narthex Structure

Of any of the bands emerging out of Ventura, Ca. punk scene in the late 80's, Narthex Structure is arguably one of the best remembered, and for good reason. If you get a chance, check them out.

I heard Narthex Structure is back together and playing the Theater this Friday night.

Stuckey's

An odd chain of gas stations and souvenir shops that flourished in the 1950's, became exceedingly unsavory in the 1970's and somehow continues to exist today in 20 states.

Stuckey's is "famous" for its Turd Bird sculptures and gigantic fecal Pecan Logs.

Hey honey, we're low on gas. Should we fill up at Stuckey's.

You bet! I'll grab a famous Pecan Log and one of those amusing Turd Birds for grandpa while you pump 'ol Bessie full of premium petrol!

Ha ha! I wonder which one gramps will eat first!
