for example, MCR-a talented group of people,not a whole lot of people knew about them before they came on mtv and mindless people see them for who they arent such as "emo" and "fags" and now they are (im sorry) selling out.
MTV stands for music telivision. the funny thing is only about 15 % of it is music the rest is all shitty t.v. shows like laguna beach and the real world.

Get the MTV mug.A mainstream tv channel for ages 10 - 20. It is boring as hell with shows like Laguna Beach and The Hills, which are exagarated and boring. HOW can you watch a show about Barbies talking about shopping and boyfriends? It gets old quick....Also MTV has "reality" tv shows like the real world and Next. Real world is pretty much sticking 7 lab animals in a house, giving them alcohol and telling them to have sex. After a week of partying and driking everyone is on edge from a hangover and snaps at any little thing. Next is a speed dating show where the lowest of the low try to find a person to date. MTV also kills music. They play too much rap and emo. I like rap but they play mainstream bullshit and look over talented artists. And the emo they play is like pop emo. It's not emo or hardcore at all. MTV is just retarded, not funny, bullshit.
