Gothiqued

A condition which develops when one has been reading too many Gothic novels. It is common for one suffering from such a condition to feel extremely excited about daily occurrences, believing that most of them have supernatural origins; and also to expect supernatural outcomes from simple activities.
A: Wow! You've got a great collection of books!! And.. all of them are Gothic novels!!
B: Oh yes!! I love the Gothic genre.

Gothique

Traditional, Renaissance-Goth spelling. The way someone of “True-Goth” bloodline would and should spell “gothic”. Despite sounding French it is only spelt in the French manor because of the European origins of the “gothic” subculture, it also gives it a mid-European royal sound to the word.
