An abbreviation for an American Sign Language interpreter.

A group of us terps are getting together to discuss the work of interpreting. Bring your ASL jazz hands and slap everyone that calls us hand flappers.

Use those terp hands to also slap anyone who asks, "Can Deaf people drive?" "Do you know braille?" or, "Can Deaf people read?"
