Socially Inept

Unable to judge and improvise interactions with other people in a acceptable or 'normal' manner. By a mix of being too keen or plain ignorant the socially inept seem to live in their own world exempt from who they're talking to.

Socially Impaired

A lack of interest in ordinary socially acceptable situations involving groups of unlike-minded people which results in an inability to effectively converse with those same unlike-minded people.

The Socially Impaired have fun on a more personal level. Our enjoyment comes from groups of like-minded people conversing and interacting with eachother in familiar places. The Socially Acceptable often herd to bars and clubs for their fun with mostly strangers.

Socially Impaired Bob stayed at home with his two best friends playing video games, watching movies, drinking beer and eating pizza instead of going to the club with Socially Acceptable Mary. They both had fun, but Mary accused Bob of not knowing how to have fun because what Bob did is not the Socially Acceptable form of fun.

Socially Retarded

This is when someone lacks the social skills that normal people developed in high school. They missed out on normal socialization because they were outcasts, more than likely because they were physically unattractive, but that is not always the case. Attractive people can be affected by this when they are only liked BECAUSE of their looks and nothing else. Usually occurs in males. Excessive internet use is also a dominant cause.

So I met a boy and I was trying to hang out with him:

me: Hey, since we only hang out at bars, how 'bout you go to this thing with me?

him: I'm going to that with my friends April 7th!

. . . . .
(Silence)

me: Okay, well I hope you guys have fun.

If he wasn't into me, this would have just been an asshole move, but apparently he WAS into me and just a fucking idiot because now he's my boyfriend.

P.S. Even when I brought up how socially retarded that was he still did not invite me.
