YOu turn on that torch lighter and put it to your straight shooter, once the tip of the straight shooter is hot, you hover it over that line of ice and short all that goodness into your nose up through your brain and into your lungs where then you blow out that thick cloud of greay and white smoke and look over to your friend and say "GOD DAMMIT IM ON IT!"

To be "On it like a car bonnet" means you are literally all over something, like an (Essex) girl on a car bonnet"
