Get the Katherina mug.The name originated from the Greek Αικατερίνη Aikaterinē (εκ του καθαρός: εξαγνισμένη ή εαρινή, ανοιξιάτικη). The earliest known use of the Greek name was in reference to Saint Catherine of Alexandria.
The theory that the name comes from Hecate, the name of the Greek goddess of magic, is regarded by the editors of the Oxford Dictionary of First Names as unconvincing.1
Another potential origin of the name is the Armenian word Կատար gadar meaning peak or summit. In Armenian, the equivalent name is Կատարինէ Gadarine; coincidentally the ending ինէ ine is homophonous with the modern Greek verb ειναι 'she is', suggesting a macaronic phrase meaning "she is the summit".
The name has subsequently come to be associated with the Greek adjective καθαρός katharos, meaning 'pure', leading to the alternative spellings Katharine and Katherine. The former spelling, with a middle a, was more common in the past and is currently more popular in the United States than in Britain. Katherine, with a middle e, was first recorded in England in 1196 after being brought back from the Crusades.2

Get the katharina mug.A girl who could not care less about what you think. She loves everyone except for all the stupid guys that want to ask her out. SHE IS TOO GOOD FOR A BOYFRIEND!!!! She acts outgoing in a large crowd but would rather be alone a deep dark room with her thoughts. Please no drama for this lady, she prefers conversations that have nothing to do with dudes.
Girl 1: Honey that girl looks like a rockstar when she’s single
Girl 2: I know! She must be a Kathlena

Get the kathlena mug.Katalina mostly known as Kat (her nickname) is super sweet and quiet. She is only out going with close friends and maybe some others. She’s pretty and super nice. She’s hard to get to....I think. She’s always doing her work in time and she likes to take time to herself. She’s an amazing artist and has some really great skill. She’s gonna get somewhere in life everyone can tell. She’s always nice to her teachers. But when you meet some of her friends they may not seem like her at allllllll.
