He also wanted to create a congregation where everyone (all walks of life and backgrounds) was welcome, which sounds good in a pretentious way, though reality is never quite the utopia it seems to be in someone's imagination.
The bubbly girl's behavior was becoming more and more like that of Jim Jones, where nobody could question (or stand up to) her without getting arrested for being a hater, but meanwhile she could laugh at everyone else and live by double standards of her own while teasing everybody else about theirs when nobody was watching, and that was fine. Everybody else's authoritie could be questioned but hers.

Jim Jones was a boundless optimist, he was even optimistic about the bright future of the people he invited to Jonestown for his party/afterparty (his orgy) there. He was such a fun, exciting guy, not the kind of guy that would trample any rights people compromised or surrendered over to him, no way would he ever do something like that.
