STIG'ification

The act of applying DISA STIGs to a piece of computer hardware or software, in order to make them more secure. Sadly, the biproduct of doing so often means the STIG'ified product is 100 times more of a pain in the ass when attempting to perform configuration changes or updates on.

Successful STIG'ification is the best way to ensure local ISSO staff stay off your back.

Well, I'm headed down to the datacenter to get these servers the STIG'ification they need to be compliant.

Don't attempt the STIG'ification of that server until the apps we need running are installed.
