The science and study of production, distribution, and consumption of life in the ghetto. Ghettonomics is characterized by low savings rates, high aggregate demand for marginal goods, and high leverage ratios. Since many goods consumed are marginal luxury items, the price elasticity of demand is described as approx. -2^x as it is near constant until reach a tipping point.

Ghettovator

An elevator that probably has plastic sheeting instead of walls to contain you, more than likely has flickering lights and possibly is missing the emergency call button. Upon entering this elevator, you wonder if it is the pulley system or that third donut that made the 'vator drop a few feet. Upon leaving this elevator, one kisses the ground with joy, ecstatic to have survived.

Courtney moved into that old apartment building with the ghettovator in an effort to get into shape, as it increased her use of the stairs.

Ghettogator

Male origin; stealing grandmas car, thinking you want to do hoodrat things and NOT realizing that includes giving men oral sex, driving aimlessly around in your broke ass car with no window while thinking you are really tough and thumping gangster or hyphy music, wearing ridiculous clothing, i.e. anything spiderman when you are a grown ass man, mickey mouse gloves, clothing with glitter or sequin ( see also "gay"), living at grandmas house even after you stole her car. Usually broke ass black guys or white guys thinking they are broke ass black guys. Having guys in your crew named amphibous creatures, i.e. turtle

Because we out like ghettogators doing hoodrat things. Except sucking weiners.

Someone who is Mexican/Hispanic and tries to act ghetto, i.e., wearing sagging shorts and airbrushed t-shirts, listening to one's music ten times louder than need be, and wearing a fake grill at least twice a week.

That guy's such a ghettican- I can hear his music while listening to my iPod!
