A variant of the more common "lips": the two fleshy parts or folds forming the margins of the mouth and functioning in speech. This specific label is used to avoid confusion with other types of lips, mainly, vaginal lips (labium).

Scottish slang term for a person who has the appearance of a criminal or troublemaker. Typically someone who looks like a ned or chav, although the term generally refers to the stereotypical facial features of an offender e.g. sloping forehead, eyes close together, pale yellow skin etc.

The term originates from HMP Barlinnie, Scotland's largest prison.
