Swodniw is a slang-word user by the lower classes in the region of Lincolnshire. It's first use can be traced back to the 1950s when a gangster left a note for the victims parents. It signifies a very valuable and useful object which the speaker considers cool.

Some people speculate that Bill Gates intentionally named Windows after the anagram of Swodniw. Thus he humiliated the company of his rival because the plural of their product constitutes an anagram to scam (>Macs).
