The highest female voice type, highest choir part. The soprano section of a choir may often be divided into Soprano I and Soprano II, each singing different parts when the soprano music breaks off into two sections.
A woman or pre-pubescent boy who possesses such a voice.

All the other sopranos in my choir decided to ditch class on the same day, and I ended up having to hit that damn high A by myself.

This refers to the final scene of the last episode of The Sopranos, an American television drama created by David Chase that revolves around the mobster Tony Soprano, which ended without resolution.
