Senpai is a Japanese way to call someone older or someone more experienced than you. Usually it’s in anime and manga. Some people who are considered yandere will call their lover “senpai”

The Japanese word 'senpai' means someone that is older than you or has more experience than you. The word 'senpai' has nothing to do with love.
''Senpai is teaching us something new in maths!'' 「先輩は私たちに数学の新しいことを教えてくれます!」
`Senpai wa watashitachi ni sūgaku no atarashī koto o oshiete kuremasu!'
