The Roblox 2021 Outage

This was an event that happened from October 28 to October 31 2021, resulting in 3 days (72 hours and 45 minutes). Roblox stated that this wasn't because of a DDos Attack, The chipotle event (which many people thought of) or any events in other experiences. Players were at the risk of losing their daily login streaks in other games (like in Adopt me). On January 20 2022, A Roblox staff made a blog post that the cause of the outage was caused by a misconfiguration in a core service.

Power Outage

A blackout is typically associated with "lights on, no one is home" after a night of consuming large quantities of alcohol. So, a Power Outage surpasses a blackout. It is the next level - "lights are off and no one is home".

Person 1: "Oh man, were you blacked out in this picture? Because it looks like lights are on, but no is home".
Person 2: "No dude, the lights weren't even on."
Person 1: "Oh, so you had a Power Outage!"

My phone service didn't go out... I have AT&T... Did everyone else's phone service go out? You know me, I'm on the 4g 24/7 you'd think I'd notice my service being out...
