Curly Lambeau was founder and first coach for the Green Bay Packers-the packers stadium is named after him. Robert Brooks is credited with popularizing the celebratory move, but safety LeRoy Butler is the innovator of the Lambeau Leap. Both player belonged to the Green Bay packers. Butler 'invented' the move Dec. 26, 1993. Here's how it happened: In the fourth quarter, Los Angeles Raiders quarterback Vince Evans completes a second-down swing pass to running back Randy Jordan, who takes the ball to the Raiders' 40-yard-line before Butler forces a fumble that is recovered by Reggie White at the Raiders' 35. After running with the ball for 10 yards, White lateralles it to Butler, who runs the remaining 25 yards into the end zone and then makes a spontaneous leap into the arms of fans in the south bleachers.

Quantum Leap

Theorizing that one could time travel within his own lifetime, Doctor Sam Beckett led an elite group of scientists into the desert to develop a top secret project known as "Quantum Leap."

Leapling

A person who was born on the 29th of February. So if they were born on the 29/02/2004 they will only be 2 years old now (2012) because it is only the 2nd time it is the 29th of February. They are actually 8 but it only the 2nd time that it is the actual date of their birthday.

Friend: Happy 8th birthday!
Birthday person: Thanks.
Other friend: No he's only 2.
Friend: Why?
Other friend: because its only the 2nd time it is the 29th of February! He's a leapling!
Friend: That's true!
Both friends: Happy 2nd birthday!

leap lent

For a Catholic, not observing Lent every 7th year or so. Real Lent is not really 40 days and 40 nights since it doesn't include the 6 Sundays that occur during it. So, you can skip Lent on the 8th year because you have "made up" for the 40 days by observing 46 days the previous 7 years. It is like a leap year, except for Lent. For instance, observe Lent for 2010 - 2016 and observe Leap Lent for 2017. The extra 2 days can be used differently depending on the Leap Lent observer.

I'm really looking forward to Leap Lent this year. The past so many years I've had to give up so much red meat for a month and a half for Lent and I'm sick of fish!
