As a kid I was a townie until I moved to a trailer park in the hills, so I became a hill-billy-hick. Some call "hick" derogatory, but if you watch closely you will see:
1) A person can say hick if they are one.
2) A person who has gotten away with saying hick, should think long and hard before typing it (OMG, what have I done?)
3) A person can say hick and mean it in the most loving way.
4) A person can have hick said about them and feel proud and loved!...
So "hick" is a bipolar term - it can be swung either way. Which leads me to the last and most important observation:
5) The number of empty beer cans strewn around where hick is said is directly proportional to the reaction provoked, either negative or positive, either a punch in the nose or a smothering, slobbering hug!

generally males who use double negatives in his every day speech, drinks beer every day especially early in the morning, drives a truck that is loud and pathetic looking, wears cow boy boots, wears cowboy hats, conservative, religious, doesn't accept other cultures or people from other cultures,listens to only country music, never went to college, has a blue collar profession, has junk around his yard, has a beer belly, poor hygiene, hunts, bad teeth, chews tobacco,into racing, hunting, or cow tipping, uses racial slurs, has the confederate flag on their truck, and doesn't live in the city.

Get the Hickmug. Also known as a "country bumpkin" this species is typically dumb as shit they thrive in most barns and commonly fuck farm animals . It is also known for wearing overalls and carrying a shot gun for no reason. They are not well educated and usually drop out of school . The only thing a hick is good for is making the rest of society look good
