Hero-Syndrome

The inability to escape the mindset that the popular music game Guitar Hero or other such music games creates. Sufferers of Hero-Syndrome will find it impossible to listen to songs not included in the game without imagining them being in the game, playing along with a phantom guitar controller or in more extreme cases dreaming about songs accompanied by scrolling frets and chords.
"Dude, what are you doing?!? Why are you playing air guitar to the Neighbours theme tune?"

"I don't know man, I can't help it! I think I have Hero-Syndrome"

Hero Syndrome

A hero syndrome is a syndrome that makes the person who has it act like a hero. They are desperately trying their best to help others, and when they fail they feel guilty and it can even lead to suicidal thoughts.

Helpless hero syndrome

When someone has very strong convictions about bad things that are happening so far away that they can't possibly do anything about it, yet do nothing about bad things that are close enough to do something about.
This guy at the coffee shop just talked to me for 20 minutes, unsolicited, about how he could fix the problems at North America's southern border if only he was on the ground there. I think he has helpless hero syndrome

Action Hero Pain Syndrome

The tendency of many macho guys to brush off pain from serious injuries in day-to-day life, while behaving like complete blubbering weenies when receiving routine medical care. This allows them to appear to have a (manly) high pain threshold, and yet still get copious sympathy from loved ones at the hospital.
Jenna's husband didn't flinch when he sliced his hand open while renovating their kitchen. But he sobbed inconsolably when they put in an IV at the ER. Jenna coddled him and yelled at the nurse, but it was a clear case of Action Hero Pain Syndrome.

Guitar Hero Hand Syndrome

Guitar Hero hand syndrome is what happens when you play guitar hero for a very long time (5+ years) and whenever a guitar solo or any music that you can follow along to you start playing air guitar and it really does not make you look cool it makes you look more like a poser
Person 1: Man i think i been playing Guitar Hero for to long i think i have Guitar Hero Hand Syndrome *starts playing air guitar*

Person 2: Dude stop playing that silly game and start playing real guitar

Hero Complex Syndrome

A deep desire to be looked up to as an elite crime fighter but reality teaches them how criminals are far more intelligent then they and their emotional level drops from glee to anger. So a new tactic emerges to keep their dream alive by concluding "I may not be smart enough to catch the real criminals, but at least I can take it out on someone I think deserves it." Hence the hero emerges and an ill-fated regular Joe goes to prison.
Airport Security has not caught one terrorist but plenty of innocent people have been effected by Hero Complex Syndrome" by harrassing innocent people who just want to get on the plane. When their patience is exhausted from witnessing this incredible security force who hasn't caught one terrorist, they become irate, and off to jail they go. Of course this would never have happened if security did their jobs in the background leaving honost people alone.
