GEM

1. Positive: When something/someone resembles the quality of a fine jewel, either in terms of behaviour or appearance.

2. Negative: Used with sarcasm to describe someone/something that is definately not possessing the good/rare qualitites of a precious jewel.

1. You know what, our freind Juanita is such a nice pal, she is a true gem.

2. -Look at that creepy man across the road eating dog poo!!
-Wow. That's a GEM - straight from the necklace.

Used to describe a person in a positive light, like a precious jewel. But can also be used sarcastically or very negatively in some respects.

Positive:
"Alice is a real gem!"

Negative:
A: "..caught with pants 'round her ankles"
B: "Cor, she's a riiight gem!"

The Gem

A seemingly useless button with a gem graphic to most, but an avatar to others. Some say the largest cult in the universe derives it's power from The Gem. Others speculate that every time The Gem is clicked, an angel dies. Most people think it just increases your chance to find a gem shrine in Diablo II.

The Gem has a random chance to say "Perfect Gem Activated." I heard some kid got it to say that and his house exploded.

Think about it.

The Gem is a world wonder.
