Fashionista or Stylista

A gurl or guy who`s really fashionably and stylish and always wear the most outrageous outfits or might even be cute and lovely at times. They`re the type of people who`ll make others say : 'She`s so bang on trend' or 'I wanna be like her'.

Fashionista or stylista?

You see a guy walking past you with a guns and roses tee. Normal, until you see his neon pink skinny jeans. Woaah.

A girl is talking to another, one wearing skinny jeans, a pop coloured cardi and a belt. The other is wearing a sailor dress with a blazer and chanel flats.

A person, usually female, who keeps the large majority of their attention and interest on their clothing/make-up/general appearance, and cares little of anything else. They typically judge others, particularly potential mates, solely on looks and cliques. In lamen's terms, a fashionable sheep.

A person into follow, believe, wear the trends. A real fashionista do not believe in the trends and she has her own sense of style and doesn't wear what trends tell her. She's not a fashionista wannabe believes in the trends like everyone else.

girl 1: she has colorful she's not a fashionista
girl 2: No I do not dress like anyone else believe in the trends I wear what I want to wear that represents me

Someone that takes fashion so seriously that it has usurped
all their other systems of belief.
It has become their politics.
They rule with an iron fist and
utilize fear more so then any
form of creativity to maintain their
dominance in the style hierarchy.
They are insecure, lonely, vacuos,
after ten minutes you realize all
they have to offer is the only thing
they've talken about, their new shoes.

The following statement would be made by a fashionista, "I really was in love
with him/her but then he/she started doing these colour combos that were really insensitive."

fashionista

The fashion police.
Fashionista is the lexical combination (see 'portmanteau') of the words Fashion, which is the socially decided (see 'groupthink') garb to be worn by those wishing to be accepted in high society, and Sandinista, a Nicaraguan authoritarian political party.
Despite recent trends in attempt to make this term more acceptable it must be noted that its etymology lends major negative conotation and it is ill-advised to use this word as a positive qualifier.

"Did you see what she was wearing? I'm no fashionista but those are the ugliest shoes I've ever seen."
