Must Be Nice

Used by workplace managers and bosses to lay guilt and shame upon their employee’s vacation plans and/or anything that is not work oriented.

Usually preceded with a "Hmm.." or an "Oh..wow" and sometimes just an eyebrow raise and nod of the head.

-Employee (sheepishly): "So uh, I am thinking of taking an extra day off after Memorial Day for..uh.."
-Boss (sternly): "Oh wow! --- really?...for what?"
-Employee: "Well...something...you know...well I just need that day off."
-Boss: "Hmmm... Must Be Nice

Passive-aggressive phrase used by jealous people who see themselves as victims. Commonly used by "have-nots" to guilt trip the "haves".

*guy pulls up in a 10 year old Corvette that he worked his whole life for*
Jealous person in beat-up minivan: "must be nice to afford fancy sports cars!"

National be-nice-to-Anwar Day

If you know a guy named anwar, you should be really nice to him on the first of December. As a traditional holiday, this day is officially recognized by the EU and therefore all EU-citizens must comply. Being nice includes: doing his laundry, giving him chocolate, cooking dinner for him, bringing him beer, giving him a nice hug, massaging his feet and giving him compliments. Other acts of kindness can be allowed, but only with explicit permission from anwar himself. Note: backhanded compliments that target his hairline are NOT allowed.

Hej jackie, I cant come over today, because it is National be-nice-to-Anwar Day and I am currently massaging his beautiful feet.
