Okay. First of all, contrary to what everyone in here is basically saying; AEROPOSTALE IS NOT A PREP STORE.
Nor is Abercrombie or AE. Prep stores are; Lilly Pullitzer, Lacoste, Saks, Dillards etc. I personally shop at all these places. Too everyone who is talking down on people who shop at Aeropostale; It isn't a store for poor people. Nor is AE and Abercrombie. It's no where near as trashy, and people who shop there have some taste. Aeropostale clothes are much more durable and actually quite cuter than AE and Abercrombie clothes.
Basically all that AE, Abercrombie, and Aero are is teen trend stores. To everyone saying your poor if you shop at aero, face it. Your pretty poor yourself if you don't shop at lilly and lacoste. I'm not calling you poor I'm just saying your basically calling yourself poor (:
Seeing as how AE and Abercrombie and Aeropostale prices are basically the same. Oh my goodness why do people sterotype so much? I have friends who shop at walmart and hot topic and everywhere in between and beyond.
Being prep is a lifestyle, it's not 100% about the clothes you wear. Honestly. Real preps are raised with manners and class and have been taught not to judge because of appearance.

Get the Aeropostale mug.In the past, this clothing store may have catered to the middle schoolers of America, but recently they have adapted a much more mature style. (And I do NOT mean mature as in slutty.)
I actually work for the company, we sell to many different demographics, not just upper-middle class families. Because our clothes are inexpensive (not cheap), we can sell to everyone who has a similar style interests as more expensive stores in the mall.
Pros of Aero:
1. You do not need a gas mask to be able to breath while shopping.
2. You don't need a flashlight to be able to see while shopping. (The other stores keep it so dark because they don't want you to see the price tags.)
3. Cute clothes with more durability for inexpensive prices.
Cons of Aero:
1. I can't wear tennis shoes to work.

Girl 1: Man, I only have $20 left from my paycheck and need a new outfit for my date tonight.
Girl 2: Well, we can always go to Aeropostale. Cute and affordable ftw. =)

Get the aeropostale mug.Aeropostale is a fashion industry made in 1987, as labeled on many of aeropostale clothing. Aeropostale is also known as aero, and it's rival stores are American Eagle,Hollister,Abercrombie, and Abercrombie and Fitch. There have been complaints of cheapness of Abercrombie clothing in the fabric, and people like aeropostale better because their clothes have been said to be better quality and lower prices than its competitors. Aeropostale also usually has a buy one get one free sale with their products.

Get the aeropostale mug.A value for the preppydollar. At A&F a shirt of the same quality as Aeropostale cost $60, and at Aeropostale, you can get 2 for $20. Smart Shoppers shop at Aeropostale. the clothes are great and the sales are frequent, and they don't cloak there stores with dim lights and loud music and perfume, because they have nothing to hide. There honesty pays off with good clothes and prices.
aberzombie: Lets go buy a shirt at A&F.
Smart Shopper: At Aeropostale we can buy 6 shirts for the price of one A&F shirt. aberzombie: so?
Smart Shopper: You aberzombie!!!

Get the Aeropostale mug.A very cheap clothing store for clothes that kind of look similar to AE, AF, HCO.
PRO: Their clothes are afforable and cheap. The shirts are about 5-10 bucks when on sale (they always seem to be on sale), and their shorts and jeans range from 10-25 bucks which is a Target price.
CON: The quality is HORRIBLE. If you buy a knit top there for 20 bucks, about a week later the neckline can rip! Many of their shirts, camis, and tanks are really thin and stretchy, which makes it rip and stretch easily when worn a lot. Their shirts are hung on wired hangers and sometimes they stretch out the shoulder part of the shirt making it pointy and funky looking. The jeans feel rough and uncomfortable. The store models look around 18 years old, but some of their clothes look like they were made for preteens and kids (the goofy monkeys and turtles and all that glittery crap).
Sometimes called a prep/poser store because some shirts happen to look like ones from ae,af,hco. But in reality, it is JUST A CLOTHES STORE for people who just want regular clothes.
Overall: The price is good, but you'll end up buying around a shirt or two for a visit because the majority of the stuff you've tried on either looks bad or looks cheap.

Get the aeropostale mug.it's a clothing store that has a pretty awesome graphic t-shirt selection; and out of the 5 prep stores (Abercrombie & Fitch, Abercrombie, American Eagle, Hollister, an Aero) it has the lowest prices. But that whole rumor that people who wear it can't afford A&F or HCO that's crap because i wear all of the above besides american eagle!
