When you are having an argument and you see your logic begin to fail, you can use this phrase to automatically win. This of course only works if the reference is understood.
The phrase originates from a conversation that occured directly after a speech which described how the earth revolves around the sun.
At the end of the speech an elderly lady stood up and said,
"What you have told us is rubbish. The world is really a flat plate supported on the back of a giant tortoise."
The scientist then smugly asked,
"What is the tortoise standing on?"
"You're very clever, young man, very clever", said the old lady. "But it's turtles all the way down!"
This anecdote was made "popular" by Stephen Hawking, who told it at the begining of his book "A Brief History of Time."

A = 1
B = 2

....
"Z=26 ... ... um ...
then its just turtles all the way down. "

The All Gen Gamers Whale is a sound effect regularly played on the All Gen Gamers Podcast. It is normally the subject of jokes as the whale "travels" to the houses of the 4 members of the podcast and gets up to many (usually sexually related) antics.
The members of the podcast like to brag about when the "Whale" is at their house.

That would have to be "Battlefield Earth".
Don't kid yourself... "Battlefield Earth" really is as bad as people tell you it is.
So is "Swept Away".
I haven't yet seen "Gigli".

A term derived from the garment industry, meaning of high quality and/or genuine. Since material that was made of one consistent fibre, such as wool, was often thought of as being best for clothing, and since fabric that was made in yard widths was best for hand tailors to work on, this was considered the criteria for excellence.
A:" Have you seen the new girl in the accounts department?"
B:"Oh, yeah - All wool and a yard wide, with those legs!"

A phrase used to express the good times had by a group of people. Only applicable when the situation involved 4 or more people. Otherwise the more common phrase "good times" is more appropriate.
Dude 1: Hey dude, remember when the six of us got on that golf cart and we did a wheelie in front of Inn-N-Out Burger?
Dude 2: Yeah dude, that was hilarious. Good times had by all!
Dude 1: Hell yeah!
