Prep - (n). 1. Basically a clone of society. The preps, or "populars" are often arrogant, ignorant, self-indulgent, perverted, annoying, etc. They usually watch MTV for updates on whats "in" and listen to horrible music like Lil' Wayne. Overall preps are full of themselves, and will do whatever is "in" and what their friends do.

Get the Prepmug. The preps commonly shop at Vineyard Vines, Lily Pulitzer, Ralp Lauren, L.L Bean, etc. As the stereo-type, preps are viewed as " snobby ", " wealthy ", and " dumb ". However, there are some people who prefer to buy preppy clothes and be a prep, but can be kind and intelligent. Preps are also viewed as shallow, and have no class. However, again, there are preps with an acception who have a good heart, class, and intelligence. Preps always take action in some sort of sport, commonly football, cheerleading and soccer. When you are preppy, your most likely to be very social and have a high status of popularity. Preps usuallly don't pay attention to the emo,rock, or punk crowd. They as well don't have a taste in anime, rock/metal, or for example TØP or MCR. Preps have a fun, social and happy personality. As well as being popular, or well known in school. Not all preps are snooty or shallow, or have no class.

People are usually jealous of them because of their clothes. Goths and Emos usually hate preps for no reasons besides Preps having the stereotypes of being snobby, cocky, or bitchy.

Get the prepmug. Prep does not just refer to the style, but the person. I am a prep, and I like black. Yeah, I admit to wearing Hollister, but does it matter where the clothing is from if you like it?
My skirts are never short, my shirts never tight. Preps always look classy, with little makeup and nice jewellery. Gold, silver, pearls, all are good. But so is quirky, homemade jewellery. I wear a homemade bracelet saying 'I love Science', costing about $2 to make.
Also, who said preps aren't clever? Some nerds, emos and randoms are, some aren't. I use good grammar, and any errors here are due to my concentration on a physics programme. Yes, physics. A female prep! Who would have thought! I love science (hence the bracelet :) ) It is my life. I am at a good college, and I'm studying Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I am predicted B's in Biology and Chemistry and a B in Physics, but I hope to get an A in it. I want to go to university to study astrophysics.
And as for the music? Hilary Duff? What? I listen to all sorts of music, even Nightwish and Soundgarden. Any music can be preppy, if a prep likes that sort of music.
So, in short, a prep will always be classy, kind, and even clever. The may wear A & F, they may not. They may wear high street clothes, along with their designer stuff. They may want to be a physicist, but rarely a profession that doesn't require brains. Basically, you can tell if a person is a prep, because they always look classy and have good etiquette and manners.

Not because of the way they look. They judge people by their physical appearance. And no goths and punks don't wear the same thing. Some people are goth and they don't wear all black and worship the devil. And how the hell they came up with that one I don't know.They make assumptions which makes people even more pissed off. They usually don't have the facts straight so you could say some of them are pretty stupid. They focus on their appearance. (NEWSFLASH You should pick wisdom over youth. Some are really slutty though I'm not saying all of them but some buy the skirts three sizes too small. Image is everything to them. It would really be funny if Abercrombie bought shirts from Walmart and just put their logo and name on it. But they always worry about their hair and makeup and they are always looking for a mirror.
