Traditionally, used to denote the beginning of (American) baseball season practice anxiously awaited by enthusiasts each springtime: If there was grass growing, then the season had progressed enou gh past winter to start the new season: "play ball!" More recently, it has become a slang inferring statutory laws regarding underage females did not, in practice, realistically apply and that instead, the presence of pubic hair (grass) indicated sufficient maturation to begin sexual activity (play ball).

"I know your sister's only twelve, but I go by baseball, not age, "If there's grass on the field, play ball!"

Hoth Asteroid Field

Located in the Hoth system is a chaotic asteroid field filled with dangerous swarms of colliding rocks. Stray bodies from the field get caught in Hoth's gravity well, and enter the ice planet's atmosphere, becoming meteorites.

If the threat of being crushed by massive asteroids is not enough to deter the most foolhardy pilot, the asteroid field is also home to dangerous lifeforms. At least one unbelievably huge space slug has made a home out of one of the larger asteroids. Furthermore, the field is infested by mynocks, leathery-winged energy parasites that attach themselves to passing ships and then chew on the power cables.

The odds of successfully navigating an asteroid field are approximately 3,720 to 1. Han Solo, never being too concerned with the odds, recklessly plunged the Millennium Falcon into the field to escape Imperial pursuit after the Battle of Hoth.

Force Field

Force field:
verb: the act of putting up a metaphorical or litteral barrier between yourself (the victim) and the forcee, in order to prevent furcher enforcement. There are many different techniques in deploying the force field, usually relating to the speed of which it is deployed. Also, there are many different types of focefields, some are more effective than others, depending on the creepiness of the enforcer.

Noun: the actual barrier that is used to shield oneself (or a group) from a particular force.

Example: My boy Johnny Mac was being schemed on by this butch chick, so he threw up his force field and she immediatly backed off.

field hockey

A difficult, physically exhuasting sport played by aggressive and determined girls and sometimes guys. There are usually 11 players on the field (right back, center back, left back, right mid, center mid, left mid, right wing, right link, left link, left wing and goalie.) The point of the game is to drive the plastic/cork ball into the opposing teams' goal. Those who say field hockey isn't a real sport, you are truly ignorant. You must be able to endure the constant sprinting and be able to stop, dribble, slap, push and drive the ball for long distances. You must be able to endure the constant pain of places where you've been hitten by a stick or ball and sprains. Field Hockey players DO NOT play because we want to feel important, nor is it for the entertainment of male watchers. Players play for the love of the game, which is the only way you can stand 6 month hockey season (pre-season starting in June and the season ending in November.) The game has nothing to do with sexuallity, out of the 50 some people on my team, every single one of us is straight. Although it is true that many Field Hockey players wear skirts to play, some wear shorts, meaning the game has nothing to do with wanting to see other girls in short skirts. If anybody disrespecting Field Hockey played for just one game, you would be amazed by people who can stand it for a whole season.

Stephaine: What are you doing after school?
Julia: I've got field hockey practice for the next three hours.
Stephanie: Man, you still play that? It was so hard I had to quit during pre-season. You must really love the sport, I respect that.

Fieldston

A high school located in Riverdale, New York. This high school holds over 800 students and attracts some kids from the Greater NYC Area, The Bronx, and Westchester. At this school it is very easy to succeed, if you stay above the influence. But there are a few dumbasses who decide to not care. People cut class to go to Salvatore's Pizza and Yo Burger.

Fieldston has successful sports teams. Even though the field hockey team eats ass, the football team is very good. The basketball teams are decent. Softball, baseball, soccer, squash, and tennis teams are also good. However, the swim teams suck ass. The boy's team is basically ran by this one black kid who beats everyone.

At Fieldston, many kids enjoy getting drunk and high at fests. That's why they are called the Field-stoners. A few years ago a kid was even expelled for dealing weed to the whole school.

At Fieldston, the females usually have big behinds and smell nice. It's a common sight to see a guy going: "Look at that BOOTIE". At Freshman Friday, the Freshman that go onto the Senior Grass are thrown into the trash cans. While this happens all of the upperclassmen laugh. Fieldston is diverse with blacks, whites, hispanics, asians, indians, and even a few martians.

Fieldston is literally the greatest and funniest school ever!
