Scene Kids

Colorful hair, colorful outfits. They usually have a fascination with Pokemon or exaggerated bangs. They think it's adorable to put their fists over their smiles and say cute things like, "Oh hai." Basically, Sydney Rain is the absolute definition of a scene kid.

scene

A lot of people judge the scene trend because they like to be different and like attention when, in actual fact, many emo kids like it too. The difference between a scene and an emo is that a scene will gain attention through their choice of style, whereas an emo will gain attention by threatening self-harm and suicide. Many people call scene kids fags because they wear undersized clothes and the boys will wear women's jeans, but this isn't being gay, it's attempting originality. The scene trend started to die out in 2OO8 for the older kids but the younger generation carried it on. You will often see pre-pubescent children attempting and failing the scene style, although they refuse to admit it.
A common definition of a scene is a gay obnoxious little poser who won't admit they're scene but clearly are. This isn't the case. A scene is like a bubbly emo that likes bright colours and anything cute (hello kitty, bows, dinosaurs, robots etc). Basically, scene was taken from the emo style, leaving behind the depressed suicidal attitude. Both genders normally have choppy hair, covering one eye (mainly the right) which is jet black, peroxide blonde, dark brown or random colours, lots of makeup and piercings, tight jeans, bright coloured plastic jewellery, band shirts and will probably be seen outside every show possible.
Emo Kid: Omg, look at that faggot scene, their style sucks.
Scene Kid: Stfu, it's the new improved version of yours!

Scene

A more cheery, colorful version of softcore emos. Like sparkles and rainbow colors. Sideswept bangs. Too much makeup. Not very sad.

Some of their obsessions include hello kitty, gir from invader zim, and other strange or foreign cartoon characters.
"Did you see the new girl?"
"No, why?"
"She has big, dyed hair and is wearing sparkly suspenders and rainbow high socks. Seems pretty scene."

scene kid

Any kid involved with the music scene. Often thought of as the other use of 'scene kid' which refers to kids with brightly coloured teased hair, a lot of neon bracelets, Converse shoes and Blood On The Dance Floor but the term is much more broader. Any punk, emo, prep ect. can be considered a scene kid if they follow local bands or even touring ones. There's no point spreading hate in this lifestyle with bullshit labels because most people are in it because they don't have to much else going for them and music helped them.
Person 1: Did you see that scene kid? What a idiot she thinks she looks so cool.
Person 2: Shut up, you have a bright red mohawk and walk around in platform boots. Your doing what other people do to you right now.
Person 1: Huh.

scene kid

Or known as a "scenester". Somebody who has straight hair covering the backs of the head with a fringe (the "emo haircut") only crazier and sometimes dyed neon colors, lots of neon and bright colored clothing, neon skinny jeans, gauges, piercings, fruity-designed shirts, hoodies, sunglasses, tattoos (applies to boys) and stuff who also might have a very up-to-date teenage-friendly attitude, no rules in spelling or grammar and often likes stuff like Invader Zim and Hello Kitty as well as electropop/crunkcore/techno music. When it comes to scenesters, the girls are very likely to wear makeup and mascara with crazy and dyed bright hair, while the boys tend to wear tattoos or baseball caps. Scene isn't to be confused with emo. Emo is just a genre of music which is played by bands such Thursday, Sunny Day Real Estate, Cap'n Jazz, Such Gold, Dashboard Confessional, Braid, etc. While scene isn't really a genre of music, the music associated with the scene fad is usually autotuned dance-pop/crunkcore/techno music that most likely has a lot of criticism. Stuff in music associated with the scene style includes BrokeNCYDE, Blood on the Dance Floor, Millionaires, I Set My Friends on Fire, 3OH!3, Dot Dot Curve, etc.
Scene kid: Scene is fuking awsom!!!!!

"Emo" kid/emo music fan: Scene is a ripoff of emo.

Rocker: Scene music isn't even rock, it's dance/pop.

Parents: My children are probably going through a phase.
