It begins on the Saturday preceding the first Friday in April, and ends on the first Friday in April (Jurassic Park Day). It was created in 2013 by two sibling Jurassic Park enthusiasts from Wisconsin to celebrate the 20th anniversary theatrical re-release of Jurassic Park.
Common traditions during Jurassic Park Advent include throwing dinosaur-themed parties, watching the movies from the Jurassic Park franchise (or other dinosaur movies/programs), and sharing dinosaur-related content on social media.
