Coming from the Polish word "blok" it is used to describe a flat/apartment building. I use it because i use to think blok and block ment the same. So now i use the word "block" to describe flats/apartment buildings

Guy 1: What block do you live in?
Guy 2: That big one over there
Guy 1: Damn, that's a colourful block
