EMO

A subculture which is particularly common in children and teens where they straighten their hair, dye it black, wear black eyeliner, black lipstick, black clothing and tight clothing. There is this myth circulating where EMO people sit in a corner all day, cry and contemplate suicide. This is far from the truth. Many have a liking for punk rock or grunge music, but snobby twats who listen to modern pop call anything unpopular "EMO" when they don't know what EMO music even is.

Being EMO doesn't mean you are depressed or suicidal.

I'm an emo kid, nonconforming as can be, you could be nonconforming too if you looked just like me. I have paint on my nails and makeup on my face. I'm almost emo enough to start shaving my legs. 'Cause I feel real deep when I'm dressing in drag, I call it freedom of expression, most just call me a fag! Because the dudes look like chicks, the chicks look like dykes, 'cause emo is one step below transvestite. Stop my breathing and slit my throat, I must be emo, I don't jump around when I go to shows . . .

Emo Punk

An absolute oxymoron as "emo" is a false music genre created from drab bits of other music subcultures into a completely unoriginal music/fashion statement, whose adherents pride themselves on contrived self-loathing, exaggerated negative emotion in general, and looking like other emos, while "punk" is a distinct musical subculture that is an angry and creative rejection of "normal" society and "fad culture" in general. Emo fools also disregard the fact that all music is emotional, and instead delude themselves into believeing that only negative emotions are important.

Many emos attempt to make a direct connection between punk rock and the flacid emo trend. While "emotional hardcore" punk rock did exist in the early 1980s, the word "emotional" is a term that refered to the entire emotional spectrum and has nothing to do with today's unoriginal, cookie-cutter, fashion/musical trend.

Saying someone is an emo punk is like saying an animal is a monkey-fish.

That guy thinks he is an emo punk, but he is just a self-deluded trend-follower with an emotenuce haircut, little-girl's pants, and an Exploited T-shirt.

emo kid

Cool. happy people. that listen to really awesome rock music. that is full of talent. sometimes sad. but only over things that typical teens are sad over. emo=emotive. originally emotive hardcore. which started in DC. emo kids. love local music and just being themselves. which is usually different than anyone they know. emo kids love to be original. and hate hypocritical people who don't know what emo even is. and think that emo kids are just sad.

EMO KIDS ARE IN EVERYONE. THEY ARE TRULY ORIGINAL. and their style can not be defined! it is always different. the clones you see. are not emo but wannabes. who are lost and need help and give emo a bad name.

Emo kid: The coolest most original person you know you lets people know what they think and feel. and stands up for what they believe in. whether it be god or satan. they'll back em to the end.

-dont care what people think
-DOES shop at hottopic, but doesnt buy the clothes just because they thinks they are cool, but because they like them
-dress how they want
-do what they want, even if its corny
(thats just a sum)

Fake Emo Kid-
-calls themselves emo
-shops at hottopic excessivly and brags about it
-buts clothes they think are cool
-crys in public on purpose just so they get attention
-says their misunderstood and alone all the time
(watch out for these ones, they are pretty much the stupidest people out there)
