Informal for the acronym (Y)oung (U)rban (P)rofessional, or the longer version of Yup. Someone of a particularly young age (13-30) who has either a well paying job or very high allowance, and is seen often going to Starbucks, having rewards programs for certain businesses, shops at nice places like CATO, or things of that nature. They also prefer food that is not "OMG I can't afford that" but food that is "well, I can afford it but it's a little on the pricey side". Not necessarily a bad thing, but some Yuppies will flaunt their privalged life a little to much. Other than that, they're just live everyone else.
