Biotechnology High School

A place where the students are so smart that they need to take IB classes because AP classes are just too easy. 100% Smarter than High Technology High School kids. People who have plated over 100 plates of agar and transformed bacteria. Students who sleep when they get back to their homes and, study from 6pm-3am and repeat the cycle. They are all allergic to IB Spanish. If you apply here, good luck getting through all four years.
Yeah I know a kid from Biotechnology High School, but he/she/they are always studying for something. How much could they really be studying for?

Bigoted Proof Bias

A form of proof bias directed specifically at marginalized groups, beliefs, or practices, where the demand for proof serves to delegitimize entire worldviews or identities. Bigoted proof bias often targets indigenous knowledge, spiritual practices, or cultural traditions, insisting they meet evidentiary standards derived from dominant, Western, materialist frameworks—while ignoring that those frameworks were never applied to the traditions of the powerful. It uses “proof” as a cudgel to enforce epistemic hierarchy and cultural supremacy.
Example: “He demanded ‘proof’ that indigenous land stewardship was effective, while never questioning the ‘proof’ behind industrial agriculture’s claims. Bigoted proof bias: imposing one culture’s evidence rules to erase another’s.”

Advanced Biotechnology

The point where biology stops being a subject to study and becomes a programmable, hackable, manufacturing platform. It's CRISPR gene editing, synthetic biology that writes DNA from scratch, tissue engineering of organs, and brain-computer interfaces. This is biology as information technology, moving from reading the code of life to writing and debugging it. The potential ranges from curing all diseases and growing meat in vats to designing bespoke babies and creating new, never-before-seen biological systems.
Example: "Advanced biotech isn't just a new drug; it's mRNA vaccines programmed in weeks, bacteria engineered to poop biofuels, and clinical trials for growing new kidneys from a patient's own cells." Advanced Biotechnology
