A.P.P.L.E.

An amazing peace punk band. Formed in 1984 and disbanded in 1988, members consisted of Vinny Gurr (vocals, bass); Jae Monroe (vocals, tambourine); Mike Millett (guitar); Javier Madariaga (drums); and Jesse Malin (bass) at various times. The band released two full length albums, "Neither Victims Nor Executioners" and "Plutocracy = Tyranny & Exploitation." A live CD was also released under the title "All Punks Please Leave Earth." Autonomy and Pacifism for Peace, Liberty, and Equality.

"A.P.P.L.E.'s whole purpose was to produce both 'sound and substance'--To inspire us to look into the depths of our souls and societies. Ultimately, we hope to inspire you to take some kind of action, whether individual or group, personal or political--to make a positive difference in our world. Time is running out, tyranny and exploitation are surrounding us and destroying our earth's environment. So, today is a good day to take action - DO SOMETHING!"

Short acronym sometimes used by junior paramedics when doing a patient assessment. Stands for Signs and Symptoms, Allergies, Medications, Past pertinent information, Last oral intake, and Events leading up.

Based on the report, the paramedic's secondary survey touched on all points of the S.A.M.P.L.E. acronym.

Military Entrance Processing Station (M.E.P.S)

A separate Department of Defense (DoD) agency, USMEPCOM is comprised of two geographical sectors and staffed with personnel from all military services.
The mission of USMEPCOM is to process individuals for enlistment or induction into the U.S. armed services, based on DoD-approved peacetime and mobilization standards.
