The act of preventing another fantasy baseball team from moving up in the standings by consistently outplaying them. Makes more sense if your team name directly refers to socks, such as the Red Sox or the White Sox.

Fantasy Owner #1: Dude, I've been trying to take 1st place for weeks now, but the Seattle Tube Sox keep sock-blocking me.
Fantasy Owner #2: I know what you mean, man. I haven't been able to overtake the Buffalo Business Sox all season.
